Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey
€45,99Er is geen Ierse whiskey Ierser dan Pot Still, dus de experts bij Glendalough vonden dat het passend was om hem te laten rijpen in Irish Oak. Glendalough Distillery is er trots op dat zij een bijdrage kunnen leveren aan het terugbrengen van het gebruik van Iers eikenhout voor het maken van whiskeyvaten. Deze meest typisch Ierse whiskeystijl, pot still, wordt eerst gerijpt in ex-bourbonvaten en vervolgens in Irish Oak dat gekapt is in de bergen rondom de distilleerderij. Deze boom staat zelfs met nummer vemeldt op de fles.
Terwijl het bourbonvat de whisky zachter en zoeter maakt, complementeren en balanceren de hogere levels of flavour in Iers eiken de klassieke pot still-kruiden. Wij vinden deze whiskey geschikt om puur te drinken, met ijs of in een longdrink (gegarneerd met een grapefruitschil en een munttakje).
